In the Blue House” (december, Winter 2022), about family, belonging, and a childhood home. This essay was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Prior drafts were finalists in the 2019 Wabash Prize in Nonfiction and 2020 Lamar York Prize for Nonfiction.

The Sitting Month” (First Person Singular, June 2022), about post-partum and the grief that accompanies new beginnings. A prior draft of this essay was a finalist in the Sewanee Review’s 2021 Nonfiction Contest, judged by Stephanie Danler.
